When I searched ‘media thriller opening’ this video stood out due to its views. I felt that this video perfect to analyse. It is called the halfway house, this is a very distinctive and interesting name. The word half way house usually refers to prison.
I was very impressed by the foot print on the muddy floor to be the first thing we as the audience. It is very rare to see this and this inspired me to want my thriller opening to be special and something new. Next we see a boy waling with a limp or a twisted feet, this I think is trying to show us that something is wrong. Which again refers to the name halfway house. I felt that one of the strong points is that they do not reveal too much.
I was not impressed by the music and felt that it could have been allot better. It was too classical and it did not suit the film. I also felt that the facial expressions of the man walking with the limp were not up to the standards, he showed no emotions what so ever and it was very disappointed.
Watching this clip has been great, it shows me what me and my group could do and what we should learn from.
